On 27 September 2011, Mrs. Jiraporn Jitpatima, wife of Ambassador Marut Jitpatima, assisted by Mrs. Buathong Tamjadee, wife of the Defence and Army Attache and Ms. Tanakorn Narksuwan, Manager of the Thai Restaurant in Islamabad, organized a Thai Cooking Demonstration and Lunch at the residence.  This special event is aimed at promoting Thailand a proud kitchen of the world and raising funds to the Mashal Model School, a non-profit school for the street kids. 

 

There were 52 guests attending this event which were Ambassador’s wives, the representatives from PFOWA (Pakistan Foreign Office’s Women Association), headed by Mrs. Taranum Bashir, wife of the Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, who is the President of PFOWA and an elite group of Pakistani ladies.

 

The demonstration showed 2 popular dishes and 1 dessert which were the Chicken Green Curry, Yum Woon Sen (Glass Noodle Salad) and Tub Tim Grob (Red Ruby Dessert) which all were well appreciated.  After the demonstration there were lunch served to all guests.
